Navajot Sidhu on Dravid's Omission

This is what sidhu said and i couldnt resist myself from posting this in my blog. Here it goes :

"How can you treat someone as big and honourable as Rahul Dravid as shabbily as this? It is a disgrace to the selection process and the BCCI. We do not know how to respect our heroes. We do not know how to preserve our heritage. Rahul Dravid to me is one of the finest cricketers I have ever seen and when you treat him like that it does not send a good signal. 90 per cent Indians would say the selectors have been foolish," said Navjot Singh Sidhu, former MP.Sidhu also said that he will satnd by Dravid in this time of distress and according to him Rahul Dravid is one of those who would walk over broken glass for his country.

Cheers to Mr.Sidhu.

Dravid Dropped - Stupidity or Futuristic???

Well,well,well..atlast one of head falls and this time its dravid's. Its not only greatest act of stupidity by the indian selectors, something a step ahead of it.How can you drop a person who has surrendered himself for the welfare of the indian cricket.

He has 10000 runs to his name, has kept wickets when the team wanted, played at all the positions. His acts has been un-indian...un-indian in the sense, you dont expect an indian to do this..like..he himself quit the captaincy, when he could have been captain for team atleast for another year or so.He realiesed that he wasnt able to give his best..and gave up the captaincy for the betterment of indian cricket.

When he was captain,he didnt bat at no 3,where he could have very well settled him,but he wannted to groom youngsters, give them a chance..instead he used to bat at 4,5,6 or sometimes even at no 7. As sanjay Manjerekar said, rahul dravid has been one of the most selfless cricketer of indian cricket in past decade. Still, these bunch of jokers so called Indian selection committe dropped such a commited cricketer,he definetly deserved a better deal.

Morever,Dravid had an avg of 30+ in the england series and had 1 bad series against australia. You have dropped such a worldclass player just because he didnt perform in one series?.There are other seniors in team who didnt perform for 2 years, still they are in team. And wats more strange is,sehwag been choosed on behalf of dravid.

Vengsarkar says that they have selected a winning team, now mr.vengy please tell me,why have you selected 7 openers in your team,is this called winning combination?

I could continue to blast Mr.Vengsarkar, but lets just pray that he regains his sense soon.

Here is what some of current and former players view on Dravid's Exclusion :

"The advantage is for us. Because if India don't perform well or lose the first two games, the pressure will increase on their selectors and captain and management that they dropped someone like Dravid," - Younis Khan,Pakistan

"The first two matches of any series are always important. His absence will make a difference to our attitude because he is a world class player and one of the best in the world" - Mohammed Asif Pakistan

"He is a very difficult batsman to dislodge and as a bowler I never enjoyed bowling to him and his wicket was always a prized one for me.I was not expecting their selectors would drop him so soon because he is such a quality player." - Shoaib Akhtar - Pakistan

"He is such an experienced player and has scored so many runs. His presence has always been invaluable to the Indian team. So I am surprised they should drop him for the first two games which eventually will set the pace and mood of the coming series."- Yashir Hameed,Pakistan

"He has been out of sorts and his body language has not been very good in recent games. So it is good he is rested for a while and India do have some exciting young players coming up and in line to secure their place in the Indian team," -Haroon Rasheed-Fmr Pak Coach

"Let's put it this way -- I am surprised at his omission. He's such a class player, a virtual wall against the opposition. We will definitely miss him," Lalchand Rajput ,Indian Team Manager

"The fact that Dravid has been dropped for two one-dayers does not mean the end of his one-day career. We would need his experience for the Australian tour. For the amount of cricket that is being played, we will need about 20 to 25 players who are fit all the time. One of them (the seniors) should be rested after six games on the trot if we need to preserve them for another two years as Test players," - Ravi Shasthri

I am sure that dravid will make a come back, but what i feel bad is the way he has been treated.RD has been treated shabily by these jokers, lets hope indian cricket moves in right direction. But with dravid being dropped,i dont think i would have the same intrest and craze for cricket like before.

Dravid, you will always remain to be our hero. You are not only a great person, but a gem of a person.

Chak De India - Movie Review

Atlast,i got time to watch Chak De India and what an experience it was !!!.

The movie starts of with India playing pakistan in worldcup final, how due to kabir khan's (SRK) error casued india the worldcup. After the loss, the media and people project him as a traitor and beleive that he had taken money for loosing the match. After seven long years,Shahrukh returns to Hockey and this time he is to coach the women's hockey team and help them win the worldcup. The movie has many superb scenes and great moments such as :

1.When each women arrive for the camp and how they try to mingle with each other.

2.During the gals introduction, when Vidya says " Vidya Sharma,India" brings tears into ur eyes.

3. Restaruent fight which shows the coach Kabhi khan "Niyath" in the gals :)

4.the match between mens hockey team and womens hockey team.

5.When Kabhir Khan returns to his home after winning the worldcup..absolute stunner.

Special praise should also go to Jaideep Shahni for his dialouges and script.Dialouges are awesome..such as :

1.When the gal says that the diffrence between tamil and telungu is same as diffrence between Punjabi and bihari.

2.When she says " Hum Marke aayenge, lekin haarenge nahi"

(there were loads of them..not able to collect them..)

Title track as we all know is now indian sports anthem, background music could have been better, but salim-sulaiman have given there best.Acting wise..Shahrukh as Kabir is a top class performance..i would place it as one of his best performace ,below swades. All the 16 gals are aweomse, such a natural performances, all of them deserve equal applauds.

The film does handles many issues, like how cricket is given all importance, lack of sponsors for women in sports, lack of support to women.all the issues have been geniunely answered.

Hope, after seeing this match,We give importance to our National sport Hockey.Chak De is a cult movie,a superb one..Chak De India is a must watch,Do watch it,Phir bhi Dil hai Hindustani :)

Rating : 4.5 / 5

Gujrat Riots - When will the guilty be punished?

We all know about the Gujrat riots that happened in the year 2002.It is one of the most shamefull acts of crime of independant india.I still remember,at that time i was in 12th std and i read newspapes and how it affected india's image worldover.Indeed,We were projected as senseless and stupid induvidials fighthing for caste in this 21st century. If you are wondering what made me think about this issue after 5 long years?

Well the other day i was watching a special sting operation carried out by Tehelka on the gujrat riots, they showed how the rioters themselves confessing how they killed innocent people on the instructions from the Top govt officials including the cheif minsiter of state.Well.i was really taken back by the sting operation. They showed the top officials themselves confessing there crime.Such as :

1.a guy says after killing many muslims,he felt like he has destroyed ravan's lanka..bizaare comment..isnt it?

2.Another person claims how he killed an influential congress leader..he cut him into 2,before his death, the leader had called top congress officials in delhi for help..but of no use.

3.More shocking is the Godhra's MLA was shown as telling that cheif minister had given him 3 days to do what ever he wants!! now..What you say about this..can any CM do like this???

4.Somemore finds were CM congratualting the accused for there acts, givning them shelters, helping them escaping from hands of law...

5.Another influential politican person says..how he ripped open a Muslim pregnant open's stomach and thrown out the foetus. Now,can anything get more worse and cruel than this??

Thousands of thousands of Innocent people were killed,Has the justice been done?? no..not even a single step towards justice has been taken.Whatever had happened, riding on killing 1000's of innocent persons, the Cheif minister had won another 5 year term. After 5 Years, those people are still waiting for justice, some lost there father or some mother or some there childeren,or an entire family was wiped out in blood bath.Lets pray that another godhra doesnt happens.May the guilty be punished, and may those get justice even though 5 years

You can watch that Expose Here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfnTl_Fwvbo

Warning: Weak hearted people, donot watch it.

Lets make ourselves a good human being, make our country a great one.I would like to finsih it off with a quote, that i still admire today,i had carried it with me from my school..

"One God,One Caste,One religon for a Man" - Narayana Guru

"The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind you have to convince." - Vincent Lombardi

Thanks for reading it.

An open letter to Aamir Khan

Before you start reading below..let me tell that its not written by me.Since i found it intresting and an excellent writeup,i thought i would share with you all..Here it goes..

I just saw the TZP trailer for the 18th time, and before you release the new trailer, I would have probably watched it at least 40 more times. I watched the Mangal Pandey trailers about 200 times before the film released.
As someone correctly said on your blog, in times where every filmmaker wants his heroes and heroines to wear Prada and Gucci, and wants to shoot his films in nothing less than London and New York (as if Indians in India have no interesting lives), you dare to make a film about children.
You probably know that children-centric films have not had a good time in our industry of late. Nanhe Jaisalmer and Chain Khuli Ki Main Khuli bombed recently. Even the ambitious Raju Chacha with big stars tanked not too long back.
But, of course, when have you thought of all that. Following norms has never been your cup-of-tea.
You made Lagaan when cricket and a period setting were both taboos in our industry.
You worked with Ashutosh Gowarikar when he had 2 flops behind him and was rejected by one and all. You worked with Rakeysh Mehra when he had only a flop Aks in his resume. And on both occasions you made probably the best film in the history of Indian Cinema.
You refused invites from Koffee with Karan, a show celebrities would give their right hand to appear in (or may be the leg as they'd need the hand for Koffee); yet you showed up at some small talk-show at NDTV.
You don't give interviews to the paparazzi, yet you spend over an hour video chatting with your fans on your website, answering all their questions.
You don't go for the stupid dime-a-dozen award shows, but you went to voice the misery of the troubled farmers in the Narmada Valley.
While other actors made 3 films a year, you gave 3 years to one film at the height of your carrier.
While other actors are all over the media praising their films and do their best to keep media happy, you did not make a single meida appearance before RDB just because you were angry with the media. Wow!
While other actors are endorsing everything from undergarments to hair-oil to chyawanprash, your endorsements can be counted on one finger - 3.
You have been the perennial trend setter of this age. Others followed, but never came close. You sang 'Aati Kya Khandala' which became the anthem of the loafers countrywide. 'Apun Bola' (SRK) and 'Aye Shivani' (Sanjay Dutt) followed but left were hardly given a second listening.
You went to the border to entertain our soldiers. Others followed suit.
You started the whole trend of 'looking the part'. Today, every actor seems to want to look different in every movie.
And well, you started a blog. Last I heard there were blogs by Anil Kapoor and SRK.
But in spite of that Aamir, or more appropriately, because of that Aamir, you are truly the country's greatest superstar. You may not have the label of the 'King', or the temples with your statue in it, but you are indeed the greatest force in this industry.
How else would you explain the euphoria that surrounds your mere signing a film?
How else would you explain RDB being a blockbuster without you making a single public appearance for its publicity?
How else would you explain the craze to find out how Aamir Khan looks in his next film?
How else would you explain the fact that the caps, rings, or mufflers you wear grace the apparel stores nationwide? The barbers throughout the country need to learn how to make your current hairstyle if they want to stay in business? The lines you say are probably in the lexicons of every film-loving boy in the country? And the funny part is you never make an effort for any of the three to happen.
Now I hear Aamir that you are shaving your head for your new film. When has that been done before (Akshaye in Salaam-E-Ishq but that wasn't intentional)? Not in my living memory! The barbers of India would have it easy this time
So Aamir Hussain Khan, take a bow! You are the greatest masterpiece in the museum of the Hindi Film Industry.
In the meantime, I'll try to go into hypersleep mode as I really can't wait for December 21, the day I get to see you in a Mohawk on the big screen.
Yours truly

Jhonny Gaddar - Impressive & Stylish

Jhonny gaddar, directed by Sriram raghavan, starring new comer Neil, dharmendar and beautifull and sexy rimi sen.Sriram is a person who directed Ek Hasina thi starring saif ali khan and Urmila.

Jhony gaddar touted to be a thriller movie,is an absolute gem,one of the best thriller movies to have come out in bollywood.I am not exaaggerating, but it indeed is one of finest works.

Since its a thriller movie,it would be bad if i reveal the story. So i would just give you a short breif about the movie.JG is a story of gang of 5 people, with Sehsadri(Dharmedra) being there Senior.Sehsadri gets an offer to make huge amount of money in just 3 days,so he decides that each member of the gang will contribute 50 Lacs each, the story moves forward with each of them submitting there share. How Vikram(Neil) tires to take away the money and in process how he tackles the opposition.

Jhonny Gaddar as i said above is one of finesh thrillers, there are many twists and turns in the story, you cant predict what is going to happen next, this keeps the viewer intrest throught out the 160mins of the movie. The flim is bit slow, but still you enjoy it to very much, for its presentation style, top notch performance from new comer neil mukesh, dharmedra as usual is awesome.Rimi has a meaningfull role in the movie,Vinay pathak,is in fine form too.If Bheja fry had him tickle your funny bone, this movie will make you stand up.The performance from each and every character is stand out,but its neil mukesh, who stands tall among them.

Its a superb movie,go watch it now.

My Rating : 4/5
